About the role

Sense are looking for a passionate person to join our team in Smethwick as an Activity Coordinator.  This is a part time role, working every other Saturday for 7 hours.

As our Activity Coordinator you will be proactive, positive and inventive in order to develop activities that meet the needs of the individuals we support. You will lead activity sessions based in both the day centre and the wider local community. You will contribute to the planning, development and implementation of sessions as well as assessing individual objectives and progress. You will also supervise a team of Support Workers as well as provide varying levels of support with personal care tasks.

About you 

Experience of implementing activities with an emphasis on learning outcomes is essential as is a progressive outlook to disability issues. An artistic, creative or sporting background is desirable.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and also be an excellent communicator, and team working skills, literacy, an awareness of disability needs and flexibility.
