About the role

The HR Team at Sense is looking to recruit a L&D Partner who specialises in leadership and management development.

Based at TouchBase Pears our newly built state of the art centre in Selly Oak, you’ll take the lead for building on our award winning leadership development programme and enhancing our portfolio of management development resources. Later on you’ll help us shape a talent management programme.

As a L&D Partner you will work across our business with our core customer groups that include our social care and education services, our 100+ shops and our charitable activities. You will need to develop an in depth understanding of the needs of these business groups.

This is a great time to join Sense. With our new CEO, we’re working together to finalise our new strategy and in HR we’re right at the start of some really exciting projects. We are currently working on raising the profile of Sense as an employer, increasing ways to engage with our workforce, rationalising our HR systems,  reviewing how we say well done and thankyou and much more.

We’ll encourage you to work closely with our other People Partners and HR team in Birmingham and London to grow your network in the not for profit sector.

About you

Ideally CIPD qualified, you’ll be an innovative and resilient leader, with a successful record of designing and implementing leadership and management development activities that have lasting impact. You’ll have a sound understanding of how to measure the outcomes of your work. You’ll have experience of creating effective talent management programmes in a diverse organisation like ours. Above all you’ll have the ability to drive change that makes a difference to the people we support.

If this describes you then please get in touch. For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact our HR Director at Alison.Bennett@Sense.org.uk
