About the role
Sense has a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Specialist Support Worker at Sense Centre Rotherham, Rawmarsh Road. We have a number of flexible, full and part time roles available working up to 37.5 hours per week. These roles are offered on a variety of shift patterns including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
As a Specialist Support Worker you will work with people who have autism, dual or single sensory impairment, and / or learning disabilities. The role involves providing a person centred approach to meet communication, information and mobility needs through the development of learning plans. You will help reduce the isolation of the people we support through community involvement and a range of activities.
We also have casual (bank) opportunities in this area attracting an hourly rate of £7.83.

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.
Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.
A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is desirable for this role.
