About the role

Sense are looking for a reliable and well organised Manager to join our professional team at our service in Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire working 37.5 hours per week, full time. You will be responsible for managing our Residential Home which supports six individuals.

As a Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities. You will have the day to day responsibility of ensuring that the home is adequately staffed to meet individuals’ needs and to maintain a high quality service.   

You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning, staff management/development and budget management. In order to support Sense’s commitment to high quality, accountable services, you will need to be aware of the expectations of the Health and Social Care Act 2015 and to develop an understanding of Senses’ Quality Assurance system. You will be required, to be registered with the relevant external agencies and maintain compliance.

A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role

About You

You must be willing to work towards a Level Five Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards an accredited award. You will need to have had proven experience of supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation, as well as experience of managing misconduct, grievance and performance issues.

The successful candidate must be willing to be flexible and work the hours that the service demands including contribution to a 24 hours on call system.  You will demonstrate willingness to participate in training and development. You will have good communication skills, work on your own initiative, have patience and understanding.  Due to the communication needs of the people we support, we are looking for people with British Sign Language skills to a Level One or above.
