About the role

Sense International are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team in King's Cross, London as a Senior Programme Manager for East Africa. This role can be a full or a part time role, depending on the successful individual, working between 3 and 5 days a week (22.5 - 37.5 hours per week). This is a fixed term, maternity cover position for 9 months.

This role will support the management of Sense International programmes in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania. You will be responsible for supporting East African country teams with programme, grant and financial management, resource mobilisation, advocacy, programme innovation and quality assurance, as well as implementation of best practice policies. Additionally, you will work across the whole Sense International family as a specialist MEAL adviser.

About you 

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong skills in international programme management. You will be familiar with working in an international organisation with team members from around the world and will ideally bring experience of East Africa. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, and specialist knowledge of MEAL. You will join a small, busy team delivering transformative opportunities to some of the most marginalised.

The job holder for this role will be employed by Sense and must therefore ensure that they have the legal right to work within the UK.
