Work with us and make a real difference to the lives of disabled people and their families

Work with Sense

Over 2,500 people work at Sense, helping people who are deafblind or who have complex disabilities to communicate, experience the world and fulfil their potential.

Whether as a support worker, teacher, shop worker, fundraiser, or any number of other roles, everyone at Sense plays an important part in ensuring no one is left out of life.

See all our opportunities

“When you experience the impact of what you do - how you make somebody else’s life or day better - it gives you the adrenaline to keep going, or to keep making that change.”

What makes Sense different

Our employee networks

Our employee networks are quite unique. They’re led by our people, they celebrate our diversity, and they ensure our people have a voice in the decisions we make.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Equality, diversity and inclusion are central to how we work. We want our people to be as diverse as those we support, and we work hard to ensure everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential.

Our culture and values

We live and breathe our values. We include. We collaborate. We challenge. We find a way. We celebrate. Our culture is one that listens to people, recognises a good idea, and encourages people to work together to make a real difference.

Bring yourself to work

We’re recruiting support workers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. You don’t need to have experience as a support worker. You just need to be the type of person that wants to come to work and make a difference.

Find a job as a support worker

As well as our paid positions, almost 2,000 people volunteer at Sense, providing vital support to shops, services and activities.
